Overall it was a decent experience. They were very friendly (from front desk to housekeeping). Allowed early check-in. The ... rooms were average size with quite comfortable beds and extra bathroom amenities. Nice large HDTV (with limited channels). My only complaint was the temperature which was hard to regulate with the old wall-unit AC. Too hot all night. Otherwise I'd recommend this and would stay there again without hesitation.

All rooms come with wifi do not pay any more for wifi option Breakfast is a nightmare; staff does not want to work. Very ... unfriendly waiters and front desk staff. Wifi does not work, must call front desk to reset. Overall all this hotel is a waste of money. Stay at motel 6, you will save $$ and headache

I didnt spend much yime at the hotel, but the staff was friendly. Hotel location is ideal and is right off Hwy 101 without ... any of the noise. I think the vents should have been cleaner as there was a collection of dust in them.

The staff was always smiling and friendly. I did not once walk by a staff member without being greated. The renovations are ... awesome! The stay was very comfortable, the food was good, and the pool was wonderful. Top notch service all the way which was much appreciated.

Acceptable Stay for a Resonable Price
kath_travelling May 10, 2009
The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean but could have used some upkeep. The closet did not ... open very well and the the chair in the room was stained but did not appear dirty. The bed was very comfortable though and had nice linens. The bathroom is very small but nice and the shower had great water pressure. The room could have also used better lighting. With the black out drapes closed during the day it is incredibly dark inside. The hotel itself is in a great location if you want to see San Francisco and visit Wine Country. It is located directly between the two making it an easy drive to the city or the country. It is also exceptionally easy to find. The free wireless internet worked flawlessly and was very fast.

If you want to visit wine country and avoid spending hundreds of dollars on a hotel room per night stay here. It is only a 25 minute scenic drive to Sonoma and Napa is not far either.

not that great

my husbund and myself decided to do somthing special for valentines day so we booked a room a month and a half in advance, as ... a mini get away. when we arrived at the hotel we were informed that our "deluxe" suite with a king bed had been changed to a regualr room with, two twin size beds! there was no notice of why it had been changed , and we had not been called to disscuss this matter before hand, we did get a room with a king bed but I would not consider it a deluxe suite or even close , the room service is over priced and there are around 5 selections , the only good part is the pay per view has a good selction of movies but , the rooms are extremly noisy you hear everytime someone opens or shuts their room door, there is no complemenrty breakfast, my recemondation spend the extra 30 and go to the Embassy.

Great Buy for the Money
Cindy Dec 29, 2008
The Four Points by Sheraton was conveniently located right off the freeway. The room was very comfortable, overlooking a nice ... pool. The room was quiet and nicely appointed. The front desk staff was extremely helpful when my mother had an accident and had to be taken to the nearest emergency room, which luckily, was just 5 minutes away. Locating the elevator was a little difficult as the sign was very small. It looked like they were making repairs during the time we visited. We would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers and would certainly stay there again.

My review of Four Points by Sheraton San Rafael
Kendrick Sep 28, 2008
Nice secluded location on a small hill on its own. The heated swimming pool was nice, along with the hot tub. The front ... desk staff was very friendly; One thing I didn't like was the waitstaff at the on-site restaurant. We had breakfast there and the service was less than stellar.

At the Sheraton Four Points it started at check in where the desk clerk was very accomodating and changed our room from dual ... queen beds to a king and advised that there is seemingly more room without the dual queens. View from room was great especially on the 4th floor, will ask for the same room or it's neighbors when we go back. Bathroom on the smallish side.

Great customer service
Jonathan May 4, 2008
Hotel facilities were very nice and our room was very comfortable and clean. What set the hotel apart was the assistance we ... received from the front desk in trying to help us resolve some issues that had arisen with our rental car. At no time did we feel that helping us with our car issues wasn't a part of the complete guest service we should expect from the Four Points by Sheraton staff.

Nothing special about the Four Points
Anna Jun 10, 2007
Four Points by Sheraton in San Rafael, was an adequate place to stay. I live in San Francisco and just needed a place that ... was nearby a wedding I was in. I also travel a lot on business, so I have experienced many hotels. The hotel sits in an area that is right off 101. It is close by a shopping area, but the area doesn't really have much character. The lobby was nicely decorated and the staff very professional. The hotel had a very nice, clean pool that looked very inviting. The only things I think the hotel should fix are the rugs in the elevator. They are horrific!! I think the hotel should invest a little money to replace these because the worn rugs really made a negative impression to me. Other than that, make sure you request a room on the top floor away from the freeway! Unfortuneatly, the time I was there, there was a loud party going on upstairs. I called the front desk who put a stop to it, but if you're not a loud group or family, ask for the top floor. For those of you who like to party, request a bottom floor....chances are you'll disturb less guests and the people in the front desk won't be able to hear you. The pro's of this hotel is: nice rooms, friendly staff, inexpensive price, nice pool, nearby mall. The con's are: neighborhood has no real character, dirty elevator rugs, freeway noise, will have to drive 24 miles to San Francisco, about 10 miles to Mill Valley, Larkspur and Sausalito.
