We were looking for a reasonable hotel that was somewhat cute. The pictures online looked nice but...very different when you ... actually arrive. The staff were not very friendly at all...I went to check out at around 8:00 am and walked into the the main lobby and she barely acknowledged me....and then she said checking out...no good morning; there is nothing courteous about the staff...no manners...Don't even think I got a thank you for choosing their hotel or anything. we also turned on the heat for about 2 seconds literally because it smelled so badly.

Every Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 pm, there is farmer market in downtown Santa Rosa. The size of the market is comparably big and it's fun.

it's an average hotel and it's not the inn's plan to suprise their customers in a good way. It's quite, and that's the only ... good thing about it. The sheets didn't seem to be changed after the last customers left, and the air conditioners smell.

Good location
Larry Oct 7, 2008
The Best Western Garden Inn Santa Rosa was clean, comfortable, and had a relaxed atmosphere. I liked the patio doors that ... opened to the court yard gardens. While not a new high rise, the location was very convenient for visiting San Francisco, Napa & Sonoma Valleys, Muir Woods, etc. We were able to go anywhere within an hour or less. Only drawback was that restraunt only served breakfast and the menu was quite limited. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

My review of Best Western Garden Inn Santa Rosa
Paul Aug 22, 2008
The hotel was just adequate...not really worth the money they were charging. The room I had; had other guests walking ... back and forth in front of my windows constantly so had no sense of privacy. I asked the front desk clerk for an extension of the check out time from 12 noon to 1230PM which was fine... but, during the added 1/2 hour that was OKed... Two seperate people came and knocked loudly on my door telling me was time to check out.. Once I did check out within the alloted extra 1/2 hour...I mentioned this to the front desk person who gave me permission to stay the extra 1/2 hour and she said that it was her that knocked on the door, she just wanted us to be on the same page her quote that I would be leaving.. In a very snippy tone. Not great customer service.

My review of Best Western Garden Inn Santa Rosa
Annette Jul 10, 2008
The room was ordinary. The surrounding gardens were exquisite and soothing despite the motel location. The onsite breakfast ... restaraunt was a draw but the service was inadequate the first day and so bad we walked out the second day. (We waited more than 15 minutes and noone even came to ask us if we wanted coffee). The management was less than interested and accused of as being the first people to ever complain!

BUSINESS OR PLEASURE
david Mar 2, 2008
This location is easy to locate off the freeway while still being quiet enough to sleep. No excess freeway noise. The room ... was very comfortable, large and the parking close by. Everything worked properly in the room including the iron and blow dryer. The room seemed just remodeled. The staff was friendly on arrival and departure. The evening mgr was able to suggest local dining. We did not try out the restaurant on-site this first visit. This is a good spot to start from or stay for a few days for business or pleasure. Family friendly too.On my scale of 1 to 5 stars it rated a hearty 4. We felt safe.

Surprisingly nice!
Karen Jan 5, 2008
Driving up, I was nervous. The hotel looks like many Best Westerns from the '70s, ones where you park at your door. But the ... place has been rennovated, and it looks great. The rooms are large, with sliding glass doors out to a little garden area. The bathroom is a little strange with LOTS of space where the sink is, and then a tiny toilet and shower area. But, good location for me, and clean and comfortable.

Great value, great location
Jane Jul 27, 2007
This was the perfect hotel for visiting the wine country in Sonona County. The location was convenient for easy travel in any ... direction. And our room was very quiet because it was located in the back by the second pool away from all the traffic on Santa Rosa Ave. Plus we had a patio. The grounds were very nice with lots of plants and flowers. We had a good sized room with a comfortable bed and small refrigerator. The only thing was that the carpet was kind of dirty by the door entrance. But for the great value and all the other good features, the carpet was not a big deal. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily go back again.

Really Good For the Price
Jo Anna Jul 13, 2007
The Best Western Garden Inn was very good for the price. My room was large and clean. They also had free wifi. The staff was ... very nice, though no one was around when I came to check in and I had to wait for about 15 minutes. I also enjoyed the outdoor area the room had. The hotel is very close to the freeway, but the area was kind of industrial. I would stay there again.

I had a wonderful dinner at Bistro V. There was a brochure in the lobby. The restaurant was really incredible.
