the room was beautiful and the bed was soooo comfortable- so clean,everything was spotless and very quiet-the view from the ... 8th floor was increbible

There are several restaurants just a few blocks from the hotel that offer some very good foods. Just two blocks from the hotel is a Children's museum. We gathered up our grandson and took him to the museum and had a great time. So much history in this part of the world!

Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel & Waterfront Conference Center was a comfortable stay. We had stayed there two years ago. The ... employees were friendly and accommodating to our needs. We had a beautiful view from our room looking onto the river. We could see the buildings from afar with all of the Christmas lights. Some evenings we would get a cup of coffee, sit out by the river and watch the boats come in and go out. We would highly recommend a stay at the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel and Waterfront Conference Center.

We had a wonderful room and all rooms face the river. Quite a view! We were disappointed in the restaurant, however. It ... seems they were way under capacity and perhaps the staff were not their front line cooks. We ordered eggs benedict and they were inedible--not sure what they used for Hollandaise. Otherwise the hotel is exceptional.

Stopped on the way down to the Outer Banks. Great hotel for the price with a beautiful location. Located on the water front ... with a very scenic river walk. Several options for dinner. Staff was very friendly and room was spacious and clean.
