Sunshine on a rainy weekend
~Jesa Jan 13, 2010
The hotel staff went above and beyond to make this a special Birthday weekend for us. I gave them decor for the room and ... while we were at dinner (also set up by the Concierge) they set the whole room up. They even set up a plate full of chocolate strawberries. Then the next day when we wanted to do sight seeing (free shuttle all day to the sights supplied) and it was raining the Concierge loaned us her personal umbrella. It was a 5 star experience and when we travel to Boston again we will stay here!!

Good value and very comfortable
Louise Nov 30, 2009
This was our second time staying at this hotel and we'll book the same place the next time we go to Boston. The rooms are ... spacious, clean and comfortable. we used the pool and the fitness center and found them efficient; the locker rooms are well-equipped for travelers. The concierge was both knowledgeable and helpful. Although this location is not right downtown, we like being in this quiet waterfront area. We walked as far as the Museum of Fine Arts as well as next door to the New England Aquarium. The Harbor Walk offers great views. If you don't like to walk, the hotel is across the street from the metro.

Jackgirl Nov 29, 2009
Like it very much, having the wi-fi connection was fantastic, we were 3 friends in a room and we were all connected at the ... same time, nice beds, quiet and comfortable. The room too little but for two people I think is ok. The robes was a nice touch and the umbrella in the closet very nice touch since it was raining most of the time we were here! The only thing was the TV wasn't working properly and there was no shuttle service to and from the airport, the parking wasn't included in the price of the room, and it was very expensive, if that were included, it would have make it a wonderful hotel!

Seaport Hotel Boston - Fabulous, Polite!
Layla Nov 22, 2009
The first thought was that the Seaport Hotel is in a beautiful, historic harbor-view area of the city. When I checked in, I ... was struck by the hospitality of the front desk, very helpful and polite! All the employees - bellman, restaurant help, etc. - were all extraordinarily nice. The rooms were clean with lovely views, good restaurant food & room service. Management is doing a great job all around!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even went so far as to make dinner reservations for our party (which, by the ... way turned out to be a great place to eat). Perfect ending to our trip
Toni Oct 31, 2009
The last night of our trip was spent in Boston before flying back home. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel was ... located only steps away from the silver line of the transportation system. This was an easy, inexpensive way to get to the airport. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We were conserned with our late afternoon flight that we would be wondering around Boston with all of our luggage. The helpful staff member checking us into our room allowed us to have a very late check out. The room was clean and very comfortable. I look forward to returning to Boston and this hotel.

Great family hotel
momoboys Oct 27, 2009
We came to Boston to explore the museums and aquarium with our 5 and 8 yo boys. The staff were friendly and helpful. They ... welcomed our 2 young children at reception and at the pool. They are trying a family/kid night on Friday nights. Great idea, but still in the early phase. Otherwise the Aura restuarant was a bit pricey and fancy for young, active kiddos. We found LTK 2 blocks away to have great food, but working on their children's menu. It is about 10 minute kiddo walk to the Children's Museum. About a 1.2 mile walk to the aquarium. Plan on taking 2-3 trains to any destination in the city, as they are on the silver line. Downfalls were no playgrounds closer than the Children's Museum and limited family friendly restaurants.
Traveler type: Family
Children's museum was 2-3 hours of entertainment, easily. the boys found lots to explore. Friday nights they have $1 entry after 5pm and they are open until 9 pm.

This hotel distinguishes itself by being a no-tip hotel. This is a refreshing change from the constant digging for tip ... money. This is a very nice hotel with a good restaurant downstairs, but I would have preferred to have a microwave available in my room to accomodate my special diet. They do provide a small refrigerator in the room. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. I had no problems with check-in or check-out.
Traveler type: Business
This hotel is close to the Boston Convention Center, but NOT close to most historical or recreational sites. The hotel is great about getting taxis for their guests. The concierge is very helpful about local sites and activities. There is also a public transportation stop just outside the hotel. The Boston Metro is an alternative to multiple taxi rides...

Don't always believe the reviews you read. It seems that the more expensive the restaurant, the more complaints...maybe Bostonians don't like to spend too much for dinner. I checked many many restaurant reviews, and I'm glad I didn't go by them!! Both restaurants we went to...Anthony's Pier 4 and Fleming were excellant and I'd go back in an instant.
