Old Rooms..
Customer Nov 10, 2009
The website advertises a renovated Hotel, when in reality they gave the Casino and Lobby a facelift. The rooms are still ... decorated in the old Caesars decor. We were disapointed as the website's room photo's did not match the amenities provided.

Premium rooms supposedly had a jacuzzi tub which did'nt exist. Mostly spacious but no coffee maker assuring you purchased ... from Starbucks in the Lobby or got roomservice. The pool is indoor with a large hot-tub next to it. Bathrobes were provided only to spa guests with additional services. Robes were not allowed to be taken back to your room---so it defeated the purpose. Nice pool with a waterfall that went off 20 min. of every hour.

Great Place to Stay
Andy Ex-Pat Oct 13, 2009
This is the first time I stayed in this Hotel since it was Ceasers 8 years ago. The good points...(i) the 'Premium' rooms ... were large with a jacuzzi tub in the room;(ii) room with partial view of the lake;(iii) the Gym, Pool and Spa are free;(v)Location;(vi)Casino less busy than Harrahs and Harveys (vii) Starbucks inside Hotel (viii)the drinks specials! The needs improvement: (i)faucet hanging loose into tub, reported but no-one came to check or fix; (ii) no smoke free areas to sit and relax(iii) some of the bar staff a little grumpy (maybe had a long summer?)

Big Disappointment
Kari Oct 2, 2009
We were very disappointed with this hotel/casino- The first disappointment was not being able to check in until after ... 4:00-that is the latest we have had to wait to check into a hotel. The rooms were nice but didn't have mini-bar or refridgerator or even a coffe maker so we could have coffee in our room in the morning. The staff at the restaurant Del Soul was very unprofessional and rude. They acted like they were doing us a favor. We will never stay there again. Hotel took our business for granted. At check out they didn't even say thank you-or ask how our stay was.

The beach at Zephyr Cove was fun-very long nice beach with all the watersport attractions and a nice little restaurant/bar. There were darling grass huts you could lounge under with margaritas or beer.

Nothing to complain about
Jonas Aug 9, 2009
The hotel was good, not great. The room we got was nice, but a it tacky. A spa in the middle of the room is a bit too much ... 80's... However, we can't really complain about anything. Clean room. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out.

New casino name... that's it.
BEC_Tahoe Aug 7, 2009
Mountbleu is the new name for Caesars's Palace. If I remember, they took it over 2 years ago... And, the only thing they've ... done is remove the Caesars's stuff. I wanted to check it out. Nothing special, and the room was in a bad need of remodeling, or simple repair. Fixtures were either falling apart, or fell apart. There were stains on the walls, headboards (always gross), and on the curtains. I paid for the premium room, but had to remind them at check-in about it, otherwise I would have been put in a "normal" room. The spa inside the room made it premium -- and unless you have "plans" for it... no big deal. Would rather pay for a cheaper place and just enjoy Stateline and South Lake Tahoe.

Nicer than expected!!
Homemaking Queen Aug 4, 2009
This hotel was a lot nicer than expected, great shops, not to smoky or noisy considering it's a casino. It was walking ... distance from a lot of shopping and sites and a short drive to the beach/boat tours. Amenities were great. No real complaints other than there weren't many places to hang towels around the shower area and bathroom privacy isn't exactly important to them, but very small things compared to all of the positive we encountered! We looked at a few hotels that we were also considering before we booked and it was no comparison! We plan on staying again!

Kristi Jul 27, 2009
The bed was very, very hard so we had to toss and turn often to avoid getting sore. The plumbing was very noisy from our ... neighbor's shower. People in the hallways were far too loud at all hours of the night. I think it would be good to have a small sign as people exit the elevators or a verbal suggestion at check in might help remind people that others can hear EVERYTHING they say and do in the hallways.

All dinning is very accessable in a short distance. The hotel cafe $4.99 breakfast is a great deal! "Horizon" has a Prime rib speacial across the street. It is a HUGE meal for the price. And the Stateline Brewery serves a variety of food choices if you don't mind the acustics, very loud.

Eagle Falls trailhead is easily accessed and totally gorgeous. Just park right off Hwy 89. Also, the Tahoe Queen is a cool set up for people who want to relax and be told all about the formation of the lake and it's surroundings. $50 bucks per adult, but worth it for first-timers.
