Located in midtown, just steps from Central Park, Columbus Circle and the theater district, Hudson is a brilliant reflection of the boldness and diversity of the city, while simultaneously representing the next generation of Cheap Chic – stylish, democratic, young at heart and utterly cool. A yellow glass enclosed escalator carries you to the expansive vine covered lobby with skylight and outdoor living room. The lobby features a library bar w/fireplace and pool table. The rooms are beautifully appointed with African Makore walls and stark white beds.

Midtown (Times Square Broadway) - Midtown is New York's entertainment center. Scores of resturants and the bright lights are steps away, with no need to fight for taxis after the show. Several museums are nearby and 5th Avenue shopping is a short stroll. Also handy for business in the garment district and the growing number of office buildings in the vicinity.
We are delighted to announce that we will be re-concepting our Hudson Cafeteria restaurant to create a new and exciting food venue, opening late Spring. As a result, Cafeteria will be closed from Oct. 21st on. In the interim, we will be offering a full hot breakfast buffet in Hudson Bar from 6:30 - 11am Monday - Friday and 7am - 11am, Saturday and Sunday. In addition, we will also be offering limited food in Library Bar from 11am – 10pm 7 days a week. Room Service will continue to operate as normal throughout this concept change. We thank you for the understanding while we work through this transition and look forward to offering you a complete new food venue in late Spring.

Cramped in NYC
butch Nov 30, 2009
The room is very small and included only a bed and small desk and chair. The bathroom is incredibly tiny and not particularly ... well lit. For a single person (man) it is barely workable. The street noise is very noticable and makes sleeping difficult. I do not recommend staying here especially if there is more than one person and certainly not a family.

We had a a wonderful time - we arrived on Thanksgiving night, and were immediately immersed into the dynamics of the city. ... The hotel is a good representation of that - small rooms, yes - but this is New York, and we were prepared for that by the hotel's web site description. The public areas are just as you see them on the photographs. The location is very convenient - there is so much to do! Eventhough the hotel has a hip, clubby atmosphere, it really appealed to my 8-year old daughter. Overall the previous descriptions are accurate - people either love, or hate this place. We would be going back again.

The EuroCafe on W58th street is great. Quick, open late, and much cheaper than the hotel. It is only steps form the hotel.

Swanky Hotspot Hotel
SuperCG7 Sep 9, 2009
This was our first time to New York City. The rooms at the Hudson are small, 150 sqft, but I figure all hotel rooms are ... small in NYC. The location was perfect! We were 1/2 a block from central park and a subway line. There are 4 bars within the hotel that are very trendy, so it we felt that we weren't cool enough to stay at the hotel, but we got over it by the second night. The bars are loud, but not too loud that you can't sleep. I would stay there again.

I visit NYC frequently. I have stayed at the Hudson before but my experience this time was not as good as it has been in the ... past. The staff was friendly, but the rooms were a bit dirty and the halls were unkept.

The room was small, but my sister and I wearn't planning on spending much time in it anyway. It worked for what we needed; a ... place to store our luggage and to sleep. My favorite part of the hotel was the outdoor skybar. It was peacful and beautiful. The drink list was great, but pretty expensive.

Terrible rooms!!!
Dog Lady Jul 22, 2009
Don't get me wrong the hotel is great, location, staff and decor, but the rooms were terrible. We knew the rooms were a bit ... smaller, but they were small! First room they checked us into had several problems. The TV in the room didn't work, the pressure of the shower was very week and the bolt of the door stayed open, so when you left the room the door didn't close!! Our second room wasn't any larger, in fact it felt as if the bathroom was smaller. Warning...for those of you that are just friends and staying in a room together, request for a shower with a wall, some rooms have a see thru glass with just a sheer white curtain to block the view. If you have the money, definatly upgrade to a larger room!!!

The Good and the Bad
Tucson travelers Jul 21, 2009
We were happy with the Hudson Hotel, however, extremely dissatisfied with Super Shuttle Service. They made us wait quite ... awhile and driver hit another van at one of the stops and left everyone in the shuttle without explaining what he was doing. After waiting a long time, we (myself & boyfriend), along with another passenger got out of the van and had to take taxis (which was an additional $45.00) to our destinations. We elected not to use our return shuttle tickets after this horrible experience with the "Super Shuttle" service! We are now out the original $72.00 for the Super Shuttle, which Orbitz recommended and taxi fares to and from the Hudson Hotel in Manhattan, N.Y. for $45.00 each way. We will never recommend this service to anyone after the unexcusable delays we experienced!

The only thing that i don't like is when you register there is no line that you have to follow. Some people just badge in ... anywhere. And then checking out and ask for the bellboy to come is a long wait. Like this morning we check out around 4:30AM I called twice for the bellboy but no want came. So we have to carry our luggage all the to the elevator. We almost miss our plane going to Laguardia Airport.

Great Fun Hotel for Young and Single
Thomas Jan 5, 2009
The Hudson is chic and fun. It makes you feel like a young person!! I love its Delano feel in the heart of Manhattan. It ... is conveient to shopping, the theater and great dining. New Years Eve here was fantastic. The rooms are small and have that kewl Miami feel to them. I lunge chair would have been neat, but the kewl overall effect was great, but a the room is definately for a single person.

Taylor Feb 5, 2008
The room we stayed in was typical NY small, however very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and the amount of ... closet/storage was good for the two of us not to feel cluttered. The staff was very helpful and friendly at all times. The bellmen were great and on the ball. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The corner had a 24 hr restaurant, which we went for a late dessert. You had your pick of a Cafe on every block. About 5 blocks you were in Times Square where a lot of dining, you just pick what type of food you prefer.
