Great Place in the Theater District
Marco Paula Nov 21, 2009
In every major category - cleanliness, comfort, service and location - the Hampton Inn-Man./Times Sq. N. exceeded my ... expectations. I toured the city on foot and by bus, visiting museums and going to three Broadway plays in five days. It was always comforting to get back to my hotel. The staff couldn't be nicer. The concierge on duty was always helpful, taking the time to assit me with subway directions and helpful hints about transportation, which was my primary reason for consulting them. The weather was quite cool, with rain one entire day, so the coffee and tea always available in the lobby made my return both pleasant and budget-friendly. The location in the theater district was perfect for me, since I was a woman traveling alone. I always felt safe going out at night and was able to enjoy the Times Square area, knowing I was close to my hotel. There are plenty of good restaurants and diners close by also that didn't break the bank. I will definitely stay there on my next trip!

Skip the Starbucks that are, regrettably, on every corner. The hotel coffee, teas, and hot chocolate are available 24-hrs. a day and are delicious. They also have fruit available all the time, and a special treat: yummy cookies every afternoon.

nomoRamada Oct 20, 2009
This is important because I walked out of the horrible Ramada in Queens to stay here. It was raining and I was soaked. The ... manager at the Hampton allowed me to check in early 9:30am so I could dry off and change. On 6 hours notice, I had a new room, in a great location at the same price. Everything was perfect, even the hot breakfast at no additional charge.

Hampton Inn Manhattan-Times Square North

This hotel is in a great location in the theater district. Close to lots of great things - Central Park, Rockefeller Center, ... theaters, good restaraunts, etc. The staff in the hotel was very professional and knowledgeable. Concierge was very helpful in providing information on what to do and how to get there. Our room was excellent - clean, spacious (for NYC!), nice HDTV, etc. It is difficult for me to come up with something to complain about during our stay. Overall a very enjoyable experience. The only minor negative I have is that the breakfast provided at the hotel was average and tended to be very crowded. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to do the tourist thing in Manhattan or anyone looking to go to the theaters.

Expensive, but worth it.
Monzi Winkler Oct 5, 2009
Enjoyed a nice two-night stay (Friday and Saturday in early October) at the Hampton Inn (Manhattan-Times Square North). Quite ... a bit more expensive than I am used to paying, but the central location, clean rooms, and super-friendly staff made it all worthwhile. A few negatives: no bathroom exhaust fan (that I could find), and it takes forever to change the water temperature while showering (up on the tenth floor). Not too big of a deal, really. Also found a pubic hair on one of the towels. The other towels looked clean. I hope that was indeed the case. Everything else was top-notch. I am no high-rolling elitist, but that didn't deter the staff from treating me like royalty. The service, the location, and the great rooms make this a hotel that I would definitely recommend. Four stars.

Everything was great! If I were to ask that one thing be provided during our stay, perhaps the hotel could provide umbrellas ... for checking out? It rained several times during our stay, but not enough to warrent packing an umbrella. The rain certainly didn't deter us from our daily plans, but we all ended up buying umbrellas from a corner vendor. I left mine in the tv console in our room, in hopes that the next person can make good use of it. Just a thought.

This was my first trip to NYC. The location was great for access to Manhattan and Times Square. Just down the street from the ... hop-on-hop-off bus tour...having breakfast included in rate saved time and money on our trip...easy walk to Broadway theaters and good restaurants nearby...Woke up one morning to find CSI:NY being filmed right outside our hotel...had birdseye view of filming from our room!

MG_77 Sep 17, 2009
We stay there last month . I was very impressed upon entering the hotel reception for the first time - welcoming staff, ... modern decor, conceirge, bell men etc. The free tea/coffee area in reception is great, as were the complimentary cookies served at 3pm each day! The free wireless internet is perfect. There was a gift shop in reception too, they also sell refreshments and snacks. Our room was on the 10th floor. Big room, lots of storage, huge comfy bed, plasma tv, clean modern bathroom, great shower, lots of towels and toiletries. Breakfast was plentiful, but very busy during 9-10am, which they do warn you about.

phynixwh Sep 12, 2009
Excellent location, just a couple of blocks from Time Square and the subway stations. Lots of excellent restaurants on the ... nearby little streets to avoid the crowds at Time Square. Due to the hotel location, there were lots of people, traffic, and noise as soon as you step outside the hotel. The hotel is very popular with tourists so wake up early if you want to have a quiet free breakfast. There are, however, lots of breakfast options outside the hotel. After all, it is NYC.

Great location. Easy access to Times Square. You can catch site seeing buses right across the street. Morning breakfast ... served is plenty to get your day started. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Parking garage is attached to the hotel for easly parking. The room was comfortable. Only thing I would change is that the ceiling the bath needed replacing from a leak of the above room and would have liked the carpet cleaned although it could be just that the carpet was dark. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
