Great location for golf vacation
Charles Aug 18, 2009
Traveled with wife and adult son for five-day summer golf vacation in Scottsdale. We have stayed at Scottsdale Links ... previously and enjoyed the accomodations. The one-bedroom with sleeper couch in living room was perfect for us. For five days, this set-up, with a full kitchen, sure beats a motel room and is available at a lower price. The only minor negative was the push at check-in to take the timeshare tour. One has to ask why one would purchase a timeshare when the unit could be rented (at this time) for $49 per night.

My husband and two of my sons went to move my youngest son to AZ to live with his dad...we also wanted to visit family and ... friends and make a vacation out of the trip...Scottsdale Links Resort was absolutely beautiful and comfortable...very clean and the staff was there to answer any questions...they were very friendly...I will definately stay there again on my return trip... I was able to visit family and old friends and was able to come back to a place that we called home...It was wonderful...No, noise or problems that you can get with other places you stay...Out of many trips and vacations I have taken, this one ranks top...

The location of Scottsdale Links Resort is located right off the main freeway (one short minute away)that goes around the whole city of Phoenix, east and west...So, it is pretty much a short drive to get to even some of the places that use to take over 40 minutes to get to...

Good return on your money
Jon Dec 7, 2008
The Scottsdale Links Resort, Scottsdale, Arizona, is a comfortable revision of what was once a time share. The rooms are ... upscale, comfortable, and mostly well maintained. The hotel was chose as the base for a 50th wedding anniversary celebration, and a gathering of five families. On site amenities are sufficient. Fitness center, pool, hot tub are all okay, but gas grills rather than charcoal scattered through the complex would have been nice. The lack of on site entertainment is more than offset by the location in the heart of north Scottsdale, which has some of the finest entertainment, shopping, golf, equestrian, and hiking facilities in the world.

The McDowell Mountains are visible from this resort, and are a wonderful attraction. Substantial portions are being preserved for public use, and have been turned into a regional park that is perfect for hikers, campers, and horseback day trips. The McDowells butt up to north Scottsdale, yet remain home to all kinds of wildlife.

most comfortable place on our entire trip
Karen Nov 14, 2008
The Scottsdale Links Resort was a wonderful place to stay . My family from England were really impressed. It was just as ... comfortable as being at home. We were able to enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, dining room , two beautifully decorated and comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer and a private patio. The only thing we didn't like was pressure to attend a timeshare viewing at another resort. The friendly lady in reception led us to believe that she was giving us a welcome packet, when in fact it was purely a sales ploy.

David Nov 3, 2008
We stayed here for 5 nights. The only negative thing that happened is we never got our room cleaned, which we were supposed ... to have after our 3rd night. However, when I brought it to their attention, they apologized by paying for our dinner that night. That, to me, made it better. We were pleased overall. Very nice workout room and a great location for our purposes!

Heart of Golf Country

This Scottsdale Links is a Diamond resort property located in the Heart of Golf Nirvanah (scottsdale). Although they would ... love to sell you a unit, they are not pushy about the pitch and leave you alone when asked. The property abutts the TPC of Scottsdale golf course, home of the FBR open. Incredibly reasonable pricing for our 3 bedroom unit with comfortable beds and roomy space for all. Plus easy access to the interstate and access to a few local restaurants, bar and breakfast restaurants.

Great location to use as home base
Claudia Aug 10, 2008
The Scottsdale Links Resort has been our home away from home for about 5 years now every summer. Upon arrival the check in ... process was lengthened by over agressive sales people. We came to relax for a week, not be bothered with timeshare options. The units are big and roomy and perfect for our needs except that this year, several of the appliances were in disrepair, including an obviously broken and unusable bottom shelf in the fridge, and stove burners that wouldn't sit level. The unit was not clean when we checked in. There was food/water/etc splattered on the wall behind the kitchen sink area and on the handle of the fridge. There was a short hair in the ice bin, and some moldy areas in the main bathroom. We have always booked the 3 bdrm unit and there has always been a TV in the living rm, master bdrm, and a 3rd tv in one of the other bdrms. This time the 3rd tv was missing. Even after reporting the issues to the front desk, who were friendly and promised swift action, they didn't clean up the messy kitchen, or bring a tv that they said they would.

Golf Vacation
Charles Jul 22, 2008
The Scottsdale Links Resort was our base for a four-day summer golfing vacation in Scottsdale. This is a time share ... available on a daily rental basis. The resort is adjacent to the Scottsdale TPC and within reasonable driving distance of premium courses such as Grayhawk and Troon North. The one-bedrooom suite provided ample space and privacy for a family of three (including an adult son). The value for the money was outstanding. There is no restaurant, but who eats in hotel restaurants anyway? There is ample nearby shopping, but a car is necessary. The only negative is having to meet with the concierge at check-in, but once you make it clear that you are not interested in purchasing a time share, there is no further problem.

The unit was roomy and comfortable. The only item we weren't 100% satisfied with were that because of fire code, we were ... told we couldn't BBQ on the patio but could use the public grills they had available on the property. When we went to use them, they were so dirty we didn't use them after all.

My review of Scottsdale Links Resort
William May 4, 2008
Stayed in a 1 bedroom villa, that was very spacious, clean and well layed out. Location to major roadways, was convient, yet ... far enough away as to not be a noise factor. They will try to sign you up for a 90 minute tour of a timeshare property, as this property actually is a timeshare, that has daily rental for non timeshare persons. But I politely explained I was not interested nor did I have the time and that was the end of the sales pitch.

Quiet Out of the Way Spot
Scott Mar 17, 2008
Scottsdale Links Resort is a nice, very quiet complex, in the north part of Scottsdale. The 1 bedroom was a good size, with ... clean and comfortable beds. The living/dining area had lots of space to sit and relax. The decks are smallish, but enough room for 2 to 4 people to sit and enjoy the fresh Arizona air. Restaurants are about a 5 to 10 minute drive into Scottsdale.

Golf Vacation
Craig Jan 3, 2008
The condo was actually better than the place I have been staying at...larger kitchen, bedroom, living room, and with a large ... deck and washer and dryer. However, I missed not having a restaraunt and bar, as well as multiple pools and hot tubs. Customer service at check in was fine, but not great, and there was a bit of a descrpency with my bill at the end of the stay, which was handled well. That said, I would recommend the facilty as it was large, comfortable, in a good location, and the price was definately good. In addition, I was able to walk to the TPC Scottsdale in the mornings, which I enjoyed.
