Good Value for the price

Very good location, although a little hard to find (st back off road), but a good value. We were disappointed that two Non ... Smoking rooms had been smoked in (the burn marks on the sink were a dead give away) and the smell had not been covered well. The staff were very nice and accommodating.

Good with Pets

We were there showing in the SC Flower Festival Craft Show, and traveling with our young kitten. The hotel is very pet ... friendly - we saw lots of dogs. There is a small additional charge for pets. There is no elevator, so if this matters be sure to request the ground floor. The room was small but adequate, and included a frig and microwave, which was very nice. The room was clean, but the maid never left enough towels, and did not replenish the toilet paper. I had to get additional cups from the front office also. The internet service was slow and off more than it was on. The front desk staff were great - very friendly and helpful and prompt. My daughter stepped on nails in the carpet in her bare feet, and they were at the room immediately to deal with it as best they could on a Saturday night. There is an outdoor pool. The breakfast room is behind the pool and fitness center. Breakfast is adequate, with pre-packaged muffins and sausage biscuits, cereal, English muffins, toast. No hot entrees. There is a decent Chinese restaurant just below the hotel, and a very good Japanese restaurant just up the road, as well as the chain restaurants like Ruby Tuesdays, Chilis, Outback, and some fast food chains.

The Japanese restaurant nearby is great. Turn left out of the hotel street, and it is just down the road on the left, across from K-Mart.

very friendly to people w/dogs

The Jamison Inn was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I found the bed to be better than ... some other hotels that I have stayed in and would visit this hotel again. I enjoyed the breakfast with the waffles very much! The free wireless internet was greatly enjoyed by my wife and I and she was able to keep in contact with her boss with e-mail during our stay. The hotel was close to many restaurants and we did not have to look all over town to find a place to eat.

1. There was a varity of resturants near by. We enjoyed a footlong hotdog with our dog and met several frendly residents who came over to pet or english bulldog. 2.The Hotel was a short drive to shopping malls and ice cream parlors.
