It would have been great except for the suprise of $49.00 for the valet parking. You could self park, but it was $35.00 and ... the staff was no help at all. Staff acted annoyed that you would ask about parking or even help you to find an alternate self park. I would not stay at this hotel again.

A night downtown
Mom Glenn Nov 9, 2009
We had an excellent view of Navy Pier. Its spectacular during the day and night. Its walking distance to Navy Pier and ... Michigan Avenue (shopping). The only thing I didn't like was that nothing was included or discounted. E.g., Parking was $50 ... that's a lot for a family; internet $13; a small pizza for two $30.

Interesting location
Craig C Oct 21, 2009
Went to the hotel because that was where the meetings were. I didn't expect much of the big old corrupt Chicago city, but ... found it an interesting location. Several very good restaurants recommend by hotel staff. Passed interesting sculptures on the street. Hotel is next to a canal with tourist outings by boat. News organization headquarters that had a continuous streaming headline day and night. If you stay there, get out and walk around. Tell the hotel staff what interests you and they will likely have good suggestions.

Wonderful Stay
Love To Travel Mom Sep 30, 2009
My mom and I took a mini-vacation to Chicago and stayed at the Sheraton. What a BEAUTIFUL hotel! Great view of the river ... and perfect for the traveler (like myself) who enjoys walking to most attractions. The hotel is perfectly located in Downtown so it was easy to hop a bus or walk to our destination. Since the hotel is right on the water it was a delight to walk along the river or just sit by the river and enjoy the day. We had excellent service in all aspects of the hotel....from the reception, concierge, gift shop to the restaurant where we ate our breakfast. The Sheraton has a very friendly staff and they were more than willing to help us with our needs. Of course it was a mini-vacation and we were unable to see all the sights. We will be back (and no, I'm not the Terminator) and the Sheraton will be a MUST for us. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

Great getaway weekend
High Flyer Sep 23, 2009
The hotel experience itself was great. I was very disappointed in the view, however. When I booked the reservation I was ... under the impression that I paid extra to have a specific room that gave views of BOTH the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. When we arrived we were told that the highest level available was the 11th floor. We were expecting a breathtaking view when we opened the curtains. Instead, all we could see was a small portion of the Chicago River and buildings. Lake Michigan was in the OPPOSITE direction! On a positive note, the beds were super comfortable!

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away so we decided to go downtown for the evening. The location was great, it was very close ... to Michigan Ave. but the rooms were very tiny and when I went to go workout I discovered that it was an extra $12 to use the facility! I thought that was ridiculous.

JJ Sep 15, 2009
The quiet location of being away from Michigan Ave and yet the proximity to Navy Pier and Michigan Ave. Didn't need a car, ... everything was within walking distance. Loved being on the river. Great local gourmet grocery store around the corner. Tour buses right outside the door. Concierge helpful in securing tickets for architectural tour, etc. Great taxi service.

Stunning views and accomodations
Suzie Q Aug 23, 2009
This was our third trip to Chicago and this hotel was the best accommodations we have stayed in so far. A great location ... between Navy Pier and Michigan Avenue shopping - just a short walk to both. The facility was superbly decorated, from the lobby to the rooms. Staff were friendly, efficient, and knowledgable. Best of all were the views. Our 15th floor room looked over the river and city --just spectacular any time of the day or night.

Fantastic location and price
Joey the shop-a-holic Aug 23, 2009
We stayed two days one night. We spent most of the day shopping and went to a concert at night. I have stayed at the Hyatt ... and Swissotel which are right across the street from the Sheraton and as far as the rooms, the the Sheraton's are the worst. That's not to say they are bad, but the other two have more updated/modern rooms. What is bad about the Sheraton is the bathroom. The shower is not a shower at all. It's a corner in the bathroom with a small hand held shower head. Our bathroom also had some mildew in the corners and broken tiles near the bottom. All things considered the Sheraton is a great place to stay because of it's location, friendly staff and price. On a side/geek note they have a Microsoft Surface table in the lobby. Very cool, but good luck getting a chance to play with it. Someone is always sitting at it.

Awesome experience: service outstanding, we got to the hotel early and room was ready early - at 11:30 This is a spacious ... well maintained hotel with lots of energy. The room was medium in size, with a nice bathroom. Great flat screen TV. Again the service from the parking attendants to bell staff to the front desk to the maids was top notch.
