Don't miss Hoover Dam. This was a great thing to see and a value even at the most expensive tour package. Also visit Red Rock or Valley of Fire. Both are great to get you away from the strip. Freemont Street is tryuky cool and worth staying to see multiple shows as they change each hour.

very good hotel, except small problems
joko Feb 1, 2010
Very nice hotel, great food. The decoration, the pool, the restaurants, the bedroom, the golf. Everything is very beautiful; ... you really feel you're in a 5 stars hotel. We had the strip view, quite nice even if the Wynn is at the end of the part of the Strip with all the hotels, so u don't enjoy as much i guess as if you are more in the center of the strip. But yeah we could see the wynn show from there and also a bit of the mirage's volcano show. I think the other view (the golf) should be very good too. The bad part of the Wynn was the fact we experienced many problems with our bedroom : no pressure in the shower, the ipod player not working, the fax not working. That's quite annoying. Why would u pay the extra money to get a 5 stars when people are not ensuring that everything works in ur room before u get in. We were more lucky in our previous trip at cheaper but good Mandalay Bay. Fortunately, the response to solve the problems was really fast, so the inconvenience did not last long. So overall very good hotel, if you're not unlucky with the appliances.

A bargain for this property
Limo Phil Feb 1, 2010
We have stayed at the Wynn before for conventions. Many of the niceities have gone away such as turn down service. ... Additionally, they made you feel like you were second class at check in because you booked through[...] and insinuated that you would get better service if you had gone directly through them. They made this abundantly clear when they declined our request for a late check out and gave it to our friends who booked through them. (We called at the same time as we were leaving together). The room which we were given this trip was much smaller then previous trips. We were told this was also because we booked through [...] Overall, though this was a great value. The property is great and much nicer then the Pallazzo where our event was held (Got bed bugs there last time in Vegas).

went to the wynn 28 and 29 january 2010 primarily for dinner at alex to celebrate my mom's 75th bday with her and my brother. ... we did the tasting menu+wine and thouroughly enjoyed it. our first nights dinner was at boulud which was most enjoyable, as well. these two meals were the highlight of this trip. i was not satisfied with the small room. the view-room i was talked into did not deliver the view. the room is nicely appointed, just too small for my taste. the hotel itself is just too d@mn big for me. there were way too many people in that place for me to ever feel comfortable. next time i visit vegas i'm going back to the four seasons. the biggest gripe i have is that this hotel has no place for guests to gather. the rooms are too small and the casino area is too noisy and smoke-filled. i would have had a much better experience overall if the three of us had some place in the hotel to hang-out. oh, and like most places in vegas they play canned music in all the public spaces. i didn't realize how awful this becomes after a few days. it definitely gave me the sense that hotel management wanted you gone after a few days.

Meg Jan 19, 2010
The room was amazing and the view of the beautiful golf course proved to be a nice aspect after being on the crowded strip ... all day. We went to other nightclubs and by far the Wynn has the best decor, music, and atmosphere. I was highly impressed with the prompt response from security, twice, (who came to our door to make sure we were okay) after being kept from sleep due to excessively loud heavy metal music being played in the room next to us. The only complaint was the disappointment in the lack of flavor of the food at tableu and did not feel the quality matched the price. The buffet was wonderful and I would also highly recommend their show LeReve.

Normally, we would buy show tickets on line ahead of our arrival. In this case, we wanted to see Love at the Mirage. Those tickets, on line, were $160 each. We purchased tickets at the Mirage box office for $90 each (since the show was no where near a sell out).
